NJ Airshow Celebrates 15 Years with Three, Day into Night Shows Father’s Day Weekend

West Milford, New Jersey, 2024 — Celebrating its 15th anniversary, the award-winning NJ Airshow at Greenwood Lake Airport promises a spectacular three-day event from June 14-16. Located just a 45-minute drive from NYC, this premier event stands as the only airshow in Northern New Jersey and the Northeast's exclusive day into night airshow. This year, we are thrilled to announce an expansion of our much-acclaimed Night Show across all three days, where some of the world’s top aerial acrobats will perform. Tim Wagner, Chairman of the NJ Airshow, emphasized, "Some of the world's best aerial acrobatic performers will be showcasing their daredevil skills at our night airshow—the only one of its kind in the northeast. Each evening will feature a stunning combination of aerial pyrotechnics from aircraft, synchronized fireworks, and a musical laser show." Wagner added, “Our team is relentless in our pursuit of innovation and our commitment to continually evolve this event, ensuring it remains a highlight of the Father's Day weekend.” Notably, the Greenwood Lake Airshow is a three-time recipient of the International Council of Airshows Pinnacle Awards Gold, a testament to its excellence within the air show industry.

Headlining Acts Include:

  • Spotlight on the Titan Aerobatic Team: The most sought-after civilian aerial act in the industry, these four pilots perform awe-inspiring maneuvers in their World War II T-6 Texans.
  • Nathan Hammond "Ghost Writer": After dark, watch as Hammond lights up the sky with 200 pounds of pyrotechnics and 4,000 brilliant LED lights in a graceful ballet among the stars. 
  • Buck Roetman's High-Energy Aerobatics: Experience the electrifying aerobatics of Buck Roetman, known for his powerful performances with a 375+ horsepower Lycoming engine that fills the sky with roaring sounds and dramatic smoke trails. 
  • Rob Holland, Premier Aerobatic Pilot:Witness Rob Holland, a premier freestyle aerobatic pilot, as he blends precision, artistry, and adrenaline into each routine, captivating spectators with his flawless execution of complex maneuvers.
  • Jerry McCart "The Homewrecker": Be amazed as McCart's 375 MPH triple engine jet-powered semi-truck roars down the runway with over 36,000 horsepower.
  • Bob Carlton Makes Debut with Unique Fox Jet Sailplane: Experience Bob Carlton's thrilling debut at the Greenwood Lake Air Show, where he pilots the unique Fox Jet sailplane, the only two-seater designed for low-level, jet-powered performances, equipped with two PBS TJ-100 jet engines.
  • Airythmia: A Spectacle of Freedom and Fire: Join Airythmia at the Day and Night Show to experience the "irregular" side of aviation with paramotors, featuring for the first time, a dazzling pyrotechnic display that adds fiery excitement to their celebration of aerial freedom.
  • Experience the Thrill of History: Witness the iconic P-40 Warhawk and P-51 Mustang as they dominate the skies in a breathtaking display of World War II aviation prowess.

Event Schedule:

  • Friday, June 14 (Flag Day): Gates open at 4 PM; Performances start at 7 PM, transitioning into the Night Show which ends at approximately 9:30.
  • Saturday, June 15: Gates open at 2 PM; Performances start at 5:30 PM, transitioning into the Night Show which ends at approximately 9:30.
  • Sunday, June 16 (Father’s Day): Gates open at 2 PM; Performances start at 5:30 PM, transitioning into the Night Show which ends at approximately 9:30.

Ticket Information:

  • Advanced Online Prices: Adults $35, Seniors/Veterans $25, Children (4-12) $15. General parking $15, Preferred parking $35.
  • At the Gate: Adults $40, Seniors/Veterans $30, Children $20. General parking $20, Preferred parking $40.
